I am still in shock that I have lived in Arvada my whole life and JUST discovered the Soda lakes swim beach at Bear Creek Lake Park! We went today with friends and we LOVED it! The sand, the sun, the water...it was all perfect! The water was a bit chilly but after you were in it for a few minutes you were warm. Blake even went under a few times! We are making some progress on swimming I think! Steph brought a raft which was a hit for all the boys. I had squirt bottles and they helped other kids make a water pit which eventually lead water to the lake making a waterfall effect that the kids loved! These are the types of things I want to do ALL summer with my kids - these are the types of memories I want them to have of growing up.
We had a BLAST and will be going back a few times before the end of summer!
