Green Ringer Finger?

I did it!!! I actually tended to my garden more than just planting the seeds this year and wouldnt you know it I grew GREEN BEANS! I went out last night to weed the garden and realized all of the "weeds" were actually the different things I have planted. For some reason my garden took better this year OR maybe it is just that I get overly ambitious and "weed" what was my growing vegetables in the years past :) Either way, I am SO EXCITED to see the first vegetables besides tomatoes and strawberries! I LOVE the idea of having a garden AND what makes it more special is the first year I really did it was the first year blake was born - it was his "mothers day present" brian got me all kinds of seeds. SO - I put Blake in his bouncy chair at 3 months old and he watched me plant. NOW - every year since we have done it together. Last year, at 2, Blake basically threw the seeds and I had radishes in with my cucumbers (maybe that is why it just looked like weeds and I plucked them). This year, it was extremely rewarding to watch him carefully put the seeds in place and then help me cover them with dirt. He has been playing before and stopped to ask to water the garden. It is a very special memory I have with him explaining what we are planting, what they taste like, he finds it funny that tomatoes are green first...all of our conversations are the BEST part! Last night when I went in to show him the green beans that grew he was in the bath. He was SO excited! Now - I just need to learn how to cook green beans and wait for more vegetables to be ready! Happy Gardening!
