Piper, Camping and Zoo

Random huh?  Well, truth is...so are the days in the Lanterman house!  Blake is an ever changing library of interests, questions and activities and somedays I can hardly keep up.

Today, we stayed home due to the "car puke" horrifickness that was yesterday!  I wanted a day to recover and knew the kids needed one.

At around 10am I decided I needed  wanted a shower, so I went to the toy closet and got out Blake's little people zoo toys.  He had not played with them in a while, so he was very occupied with them!  Piper was napping and I got to shower in peace *insert happy dance here*.  Lately, Piper plays peek-a-boo with the shower curtain while I am showering and Blake normally comes in to "chat"..so, what seems like an ordinary thing to most is an exciting special treat to me!

Anyway, when I came out of the shower..this is what I saw.

Each animal in the spot it was suppose to go.

some creative extras

a pair of "friends"

A happy Zoo Keeper

3 Alligators ready for attack!

and an elephant's snack!

I LOVE that Blake is at the age to play this way!  It is so fun to watch him.

Ok, quick Piper update!  She is almost 11 months old!  I actually got teary at my moms the other day when I realized in just over a month she will be 1.year.old!  That can't be...she's my baby!  And, my last baby...sad sad day!

Anyway, she is growing so great and is so much fun to watch!  She is our giggly, ticklish, fireball, she snuggles, claps, plays peek-a-boo, crawls everywhere...fast and loves her brother!

She is learning to feed herself

She is PRECIOUS

She's always up for a snuggle

She LOVES the bath!

She sleeps with her rump in the air

She sits up as soon as she wakes up, even though she isn't really awake

She LOVES her brother!

She's studious

She loves to hand things to you and wait for a "thank you"

She loves to play all the time

She looks beautiful with a flower in her hair...

...and without!

She's watching the world and ready to pounce on it!

And...lastly, here's how we spent our dinner tonight:

"camping" by candlelight while we ate dinner...hiding from bears and eating our dinner- it was great!
