Valentines Day 2012

Valentines was BIG this year in our house...it is getting really fun with the kids ages to celebrate with them.  We started with a family dinner Sunday night at Los Arcos (our favorite) Mexican restaurant.  It was so much fun and we laughed all through dinner.  It was really the first time Blake has loved loved the fried ice cream and his expressions about it were hilarious!  Piper was fun to watch spoon feed herself rice and beans and then realize she only liked the rice!

The next day was Blake's preschool Valentines partay, which I was excited about and got to stay for!  We were in charge of a healthy treat, so I brought some pink and white yogurt parfaits with sprinkles (sprinkles make everything cute and especially yummy at 3 years old).  I didn't bring my camera!  *insert gasp here* because that is SO not Kendra...but, I had my good ol' phone.  So, pardon the blurriness but here is our preschool party photo dump:

Be still my heart, he sat with his arm around her all through circle time!

Piper VERY excited she got a cookie too!  Thanks Popcorn teachers ;)

As if the juice box, yogurt parfait, cookie and crackers weren't enough..."who wants cheese?"

Snack time with the big kiddos!

Playing peek-a-boo with sweet lil' Beckett

He loved that Piper wanted to play outside too!

After school we came home to have a Valentines themed lunch and go through his Valentines...lunch was a HUGE hit and I discovered that my kids will eat anything shaped like a heart...including pickled beets!

And...we wanted the kiddos to wake up to a special something from mommy and daddy..so, I layed out a paper heart path guiding Blake from his room to the table (thank you Pinterest).  They LOVED their new goodies!

A heart shaped egg and toast, homemade strawberry milk and yogurt with sprinkles breakfast!

And, a few fun photos to help us remember this day and our two sweet little Valentines!

Happy valentines day!  mwaaa!

Oh, and side note..I also did that little "heart attack" thing from Pinterest and came up with things we loved about Blake and put them on hearts taped all over his door...I would have taken a picture, but those hearts quickly became "missiles we had to disarm so we could prepare for battle"...this new Star Wars phase isn't annoying at all ;)
