October!

By far, October is one of my favorite months of the year!  I LOVE Halloween for my kids, I love the changing of the leaves, the cooler crisp air, the game I play with mother nature trying to see how many times I can wish for snow and make it happen, Halloween, candy, fun activities to do as a family and perfect weather for trips to the park and the zoo!

We are still battling bugs, germs and boogies in our house SO yesterday, my sick kiddos were getting a bit restless.  I went to the garage to fetch our bin of Halloween decorations and one-by-one we pulled them out, played, explored and celebrated the season!

I mean really, when the colors are like THIS, how can you not get out everything Orange, Brown, Green  and everything that smells or tastes like Punkin'?

randomly picked this up last week for $1 and Piper loves her "ball"...apparently she thought I was gonna steal it.

he can't wait to carve a pumpkin!

adorable hollywood!

easy peasy colored Halloween rice for the kids! They made cupcakes and played with all of my spoons and cups.

happy and LOVING her halloween socks!

When Blake wrote his name like this, I literally could have jumped up and down, done a summersault, and screamed and felt like I could have climbed Mt. Everest in flip flops!  Teaching him has been TOUGH, but moments like this make me SO proud of him and man, I feel like we are making progress!  WOOT WOOT! (oh, and those little lines on his letters?....guns, "they are gun letters mom").

So, our Halloween decorations are up!  We have window clings, fun crafts and all things orange and black in our house!  and...I.LOVE.IT!

In the next month, here is what we are looking forward too:

Warm pumpkin spice lattes, comfy socks, football, pumpkin patch, corn mazes, crafts and games and fun foods, time with family, fires in the fireplace, green chili and our first BIG snow!

Bring it, October...I've got my sassy pants on!

Oh, and a few quick random Piper thoughts:

OBSESSED, ob.....sessed this girl with her "baby", "eebee baby" to be exact and OH.EM.GEE, Brian and I now have all of the shows and songs memorized!

That ADORABLE little curl that has shown up!  It makes me grin every time I see it!

Two of her favorite things: brushing her teeth and reading books <3!
