F day, Fun day!

Today we stayed home all day!  It was glorious!  I seriously always wonder why the heck I don't do it more because every time I do, we have great days!  I woke up today with no real plans other than pajamas for as long as I could stand it but as soon as Blake woke up our day took a spontaneous turn...the best kind!  First thing this morning, I put Blake into the bath and found a bath toy that is a fishing pole and floating foam fish...he started to play and I started to plan AN F DAY!  We have been working on letter recognition lately and I want to start learning a letter a day..so today it started with F.

At 10am, after bath we decided to make an "f" breakfast (sometimes I swear blake is a teenager trapped in a 3 year olds body), I got out the waffle maker and make a Fish waffle with a peanut eye and grape bubbles.  Ok, use your imagination!

Then, we made a craft...a Fishbowl!

Finished product!  I was VERY proud of Blake, he fingerpainted, painted his hand for the fish, cut out the fishbowl all on his own, glued on the eyes, bubble beads and beans!

Next it was time for a little mommy break, so I thought "I wonder if there are F show clips from sesame street on Youtube...YUP!  Even better, we found on sesamestreet.com if you search for a letter it will pull up all the clips and games to do with that letter!  - This will be a resource for upcoming letters for sure!  Anyway, Cookie monster was eating a cookie that had an F on it and so...

After cookies, we played with flashlights in his dark room with Piper!

It was a GREAT day!  He learned something new and we had lots of fun spending the day together, just us three!  I think he will remember F....
