It's Christmas time baby!
I LOVE this time of year! We are always so excited for Christmas and since we have kids it has only gotten more fun! To watch the excitement in their eyes as we talk about Santa, look up at the lights on our Christmas tree and hearing Blake sing songs he is practicing at school have been our favorite parts already this year! Well, until today that is. Today, we got our Christmas tree! It is a day that I look forward to the minute Halloween is over! The weekend after Thanksgiving we always get our tree and after the "Christmas tree fiasco of 2010" we are reaffirmed that we will always go to the same Man at a local tree farm in Arvada. It is a family owned business and the man there is always so nice
(and he lets me take the 100 pictures I want to take and not rush me ;)
Anyway, this year, we wanted to do something to make the day more of an event than just going to put the tree on top of the car so, we decided to drive to Idaho Springs and eat lunch at Beau Jo's. There was even a bit of snow up there which put me right in the mood to go tree shop! We have talked about driving up to the original Beau Jo's several times before but never make the trek. We typically don't eat at Beau Jo's even though there is one right by our house. So, today was a great excuse to go eat some yummy pizza in the mountains. Salad bar in bath tubs, napkin pictures on the wall and honey on crust - what could be better for a 3 year old! Oh yeah, piper love it too!
After lunch, we were off towards the tree farm to pick out the best one!
Tomorrow we are getting out all the lights and decorations! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
