I LOVE this age!

I was watching/admiring Piper today and I thought to myself, I think *this* is my favorite age!  As a momma, I love all the stages (ok, maybe that isn't totally true, I just had a vision of my closing the door on a screaming early three year old and standing in the garage, fuming and on the verge of tears before 8am) BUT anyway, I really think THIS age, between 9 months and 18 months is my very, very favorite!

I am learning so much about my baby girl right now!  Everyday there is a new task, a funny moment, a new attempt, something that wow's me.  Even at this early age, she loves her babies.  She loves to wash her baby, and yesterday I even saw her putting one of her barbies into her stroller.  She even snuck baby monkey into her stroller very carefully before her brother could see and rip it out of her hands.  Everytime she sneaks that baby monkey, she sits with it quietly with a smirk on her face that makes me giddy.  I want to yell "good job piper, you play with that monkey!"  Of course doing so would cause WW3, so I let well enough alone and sometimes whisper "good girl" to which she seems to be pleased and it is like we are on the same "team".

Baby girl is a climber!  We got birthday photos taken today and in all of about 3 minutes, a chair and table were both climbed, a full box of crayons emptied, and a moving lego truck used as a ladder to reach an even higher surface!  Needless to say, I was sweaty and tired from that 3 minute obstacle course.

Probably my absolute favorite thing Piper does right now is WHENEVER she sees (or hears) a dog, she tightens up her mouth, flaps her arms and says "stop".  The superior attitude she has whenever she is around a dog cracks us up!  It is VERY apparent that she lives in a house with 3 unruly dogs!  It is truly hysterical and I hope to get it on video soon!

She "signs" eat, loves peek-a-boo and patty cake, dances at the first beat of a song, eats everything you put in front of her (including spinach tonight that she could not get enough of), she slaps me in the face all.the.time.  It is not cute!  She rips her hair pretties out as fast as I out them in and then laughs at me.  Yup, I am pretty sure I will have my hands full with this one, but I wouldn't change a thing!

Look out world, this one, she's something special!
