"pretty printin momma"

When I hear of fun things to do with the kids, I tend to go a bit crazy and get so excited that I wonder who had more fun...I like to relive my childhood.  Carefree days full of princesses, fairy tales and happily ever afters.

I was obsessed with Princess growing up..in fact, a recent photo of my and my childhood friends at Halloween surfaced on Facebook with the caption "Halloween 1990 - I think Kendra was either a princess or AWest cheerleader all through elementary school! "

Fair.  See the one with the Tiarra and tons of blush....me.

When I heard the words "its a girl" I would be lying if I said I didn't instantly picture pink, ribbons, sparkles and dresses.

Piper's love of everything Princess has really grown lately...Princess Sofia and Cinderella and heavy favorites and lately, a little Ariel for good measure.  SO, when my Sis-in-law texted last month about borrowing Piper to take her to Cinderella, I politely nah, I just suggested that we ALL go ;)  When Piper first started talking, she would say "button" for Princess...STRANGE!  Now, we have graduated to more of a "printin" for Princess.  She is so sincere when she says it, I dare ya not to smile and give her a hug!  She also calls me "momma" which melts my heart so fast I can't stop smiling.  Nobody calls me momma, except Piper.

It was a moment I will treasure for years to come!  Much to my unorganized dismay, Piper doesn't have any dress-up yet.  She has fairy wings, but thinks something is attacking her whenever she wears them...we are working towards dress-up and oh lordy, I know it will come.  No dress-up doesn't mean we didn't primp...we did.

Hair time..

SO excited and beautiful

THE LOOK I got when I explained she couldn't really wear her Cinderella shoes...

She ran around getting her "rellas" (baby cinderella, lil' people cinderella and a necklace of course!)

She's already such a momma!

Getting in some princess puzzle time before the show!

EVERYTHING is better with glitter

Oh yeah, the show!  This was a High School Musical...High School....IT.WAS.AMAZING!!  I can not say enough about the cast, the songs, with costumes, the dancing...WOW, just WOW!

And special time with Auntie Kristen and her boys...

The show went until 9 (2 hours past her bedtime)...she didn't miss anything!  She was wide awake, clapping, pointing to the stage and saying "look!"

I held her on my lap the whole time, breathing in those precious words, watching her chubby little hands clap with such excitement.  We watched Cinderella transform from a blue dress to a PRINCESS dress with a beautiful carriage and at that moment, Piper looked up at me and said "Pretty printin momma!" and Cinderella certainly was, but all I could think was "yes you are".
