Baby girl is sick...again! This year has been terrible for us with being sick. We have had everything from a tummy bug, strep, head colds, to the latest...RSV :(
Friday afternoon about 3pm, we were at the park and I noticed Piper was breathing fast and kinda sounded like she swallowed a rattle. Long story short, we went to the Dr. and she was diagnosed with RSV. She had a virus that turned into a respiratory infection and needs breathing treatments every 4-6 hours for the next few days.
We have done the breathing treatments for over 48 hours now and took her in today for a check-up and she is sounding much much better! We will continue the treatments for a while and should be able to stop completely by the end of this week.
I have hated watching her sick and miserable BUT last night, at 330am, it was just me and Piper in the quiet house. She held her fist by her cheekbone and slept as she got her treatment and I had 10 uninterrupted minutes when the world stopped and I got to admire my sleeping angel.
During the night feeding stage, I couldn't wait to be able to sleep through the night, but I dont mind these sweet little reminders of those moments...just me and Piper snuggling up while the world sleeps.
