...and I thought I was tired yesterday!

If you didn't read yesterdays post, read it here.

Well, I ASSUMED we had made it through the "bumps and bruises".  All was good, I stayed up reading and relaxing, hubby was home, kids were in bed and we were all finally asleep...

2:30am, Brian popped up in bed and said "he fell out of bed" I was in a deep fog and thought it was kinda cute/funny that Blake would fall out of his queen sized bed!  He actually looks funny in his bed because he is so little and the bed is so big.  Anyway, Brian ran downstairs so fast it was like he suddenly realized forgot to record the Simpsons on a Sunday night.  It was cute.  I layed in bed happy to let Brian take this one, but I kept hearing Blake say "it hurts really bad", "really, really bad".  I got up and went downstairs and Brian and I sat with Blake for about an hour to try to get him comfy.  He finally fell back asleep on my hip.

This morning at 9, when he woke up he called for me and I knew he was still hurting.  I began to blindly diagnose him and Brian and I both suspected a broken colar bone.  We got a 10am appointment at the Dr. and yup, broken colar bone :(

The good news is, Dr. Miller said even though Colar bones are easy to break, they are also super easy to heal!  Thank GOD!  He should be up and running in about 3 weeks!
at home after Dr.  icing it.

Blake is doing great and has been such a trooper!  He only had one dose of pain meds right before bed and only hurts when he bumps the actual bone.  He is so tough!

One thing that cracks me up about Blake when he is sick or hurting is his innocent understanding of how fast things heal.  We once told him to drink Pedialyte to make him feel better when he was stomach bug sick, today out of the blue, he asked for Pedialyte because it would help him get better. We told him rest would really help his arm, he went to bed without a peep.  We told him drinking milk would help heal his bones, he drank his weight in milk today.

I wonder if I told him green beans and nothing but hugs for Piper would heal his arm, would he buy it?

Happy Healing!
