Today was the start of Blake's first Vacation Bible School. I was super excited for him. I remember how exciting it was when my nanny kids went there and they had some serious fun while learning some important bible lessons. What made it even better? Blake's best buddy Tristan gets to go with him everday from 830-1130 this week! Both of the boys are super stoked about that and it is so fun to just stop and listed to their conversations while driving into Boulder. Designating who is going to be which superhero (Tristan, "batman" and Blake, "Ironman but sometimes Hulk"), how they love to drink silly ways from their cups, and then just 4-year-old craziness that I am pretty sure only 4-year-olds "get".
So, while the boys are away at camp, I have planned a small fun activity each day for me and Piper to enjoy by ourselves! Today was Storytime at the Boulder Library. I have to say, it was honestly the best storytime we have ever been too! Mrs. Melanie was amazing! Her enthusiasm, humor and excitement kept the kids interested all 45 minutes! (pretty amazing for my little 14 mo. old who wiggles and squirms through one board book before bedtime)
Piper absolutely LOVED it! This story time was more like a musical story time. Some of the books were also songs and could be sung and Piper ate it all up!
I love how she sat to watch the books for a few minutes, but then loved to turn around and watch the kids behind her watch the stories. She liked the polka dot shirt on the girl in front of us, the decorative buttons on the girls crocs next to us and there was a random shoe slapping incident that had another mom and I in stitches, but overall she did amazing! She blew kisses, clapped and danced at all the right times! It is so fun to watch her learn!
Then, for the last story of the day, I was blessed to hear these perfect words. It was the perfect story for my morning with my perfect baby girl.
(as you can tell, she was starting to get antsy, 45 mins in and was getting sleepy with her lovie lying on my lap)

After storytime we headed back to pick up the boys and then went to a park for a picnic lunch. The boys told me all about their day, the cross they made, the story of Adam and Eve, and we jammed out to the CD the church gave them with the theme songs from this week! Then, we went to the park for a picnic lunch.
| piper, was in heaven and laughed hysterically the whole time the boys pushed her back and forth |
#1. The story of Andrea and my friendship and the bud that started way back in our birthing class when we were pregnant with these adorable, fun 4-year-old boys.
#2. The amazing things she is doing right now giving for others and spreading Gods word. She is living it, not just preaching it and I have decided I want to go on a missions trip at some point in my life.
#3. How something so little and simple as story time can make you stop, look and watch in amazement at this little blessing that I get to see every single day. Today, I got to look at her face for as long as I wanted, uninterrupted and it was great!
My day was not all blessings, in fact I got a ticket, its hot, I needed a shower before we left this morning but had no time and had to wait, laundry to do, etc. etc. etc. BUT there are far too many things to be thankful for and far too many blessings that I have every single day, so today, I will focus on the blessings!
